Yinson GreenTech's marine electrification business, marinEV, has secured a bareboat charter contract from OPL Services Pte. Ltd. (OPL) for Hydromover 2.0, its next-generation electric cargo vessel. The contract represents another important commercial milestone for marinEV and reflects growing confidence among maritime operators in electric harbour craft as a practical solution for port operations.

Under the agreement, Hydromover 2.0 will support OPL's cargo and logistics operations within the Port of Singapore. The vessel will operate out of Singapore's first decarbonisation hub dedicated to electric supply vessels, operated by Toll Group. The contract also includes marinEV's Marine Digital Platform (MDP), which provides operational insights to support performance monitoring, fleet management and operational optimisation.

The partnership builds on a longstanding relationship between marinEV and OPL. As one of Singapore's leading harbour craft operators, OPL was among the early industry partners involved in the development of marinEV's electric harbour craft solutions, having signed a Letter of Intent to trial Hydromover 1.0 and provided valuable operational feedback that helped shape the vessel's development.

The agreement comes as the maritime industry continues to explore practical pathways towards decarbonisation while maintaining operational efficiency. Since its commercial launch in 2025, Hydromover 2.0 has attracted growing interest from local and international operators seeking lower-emission alternatives for maritime logistics and harbour craft operations.
