marinEV, the marine electrification business of Yinson GreenTech, has marked another milestone in the commercial adoption of electric harbour craft in Singapore, securing a one-year bareboat charter with HHH Marine & Logistics (“HHH Marine”) for Hydromover 1.0, marking its second Hydromover commercial charter in Singapore in less than a month. The agreement follows marinEV’s July 2026 bareboat charter of Hydromover 2.0 to OPL Services and expands the commercial deployment of the Hydromover platform across another maritime operator and operating profile within the Port of Singapore.
The vessel commenced operations on 17 August 2026 and is supporting HHH Marine's ship-supply operations, transporting essential supplies from port terminals to vessels at anchor within the Port of Singapore. The charter has an initial term of one year, with options to extend. The deployment also includes Marine Digital Platform (“MDP”), marinEV’s proprietary digital intelligence platform which provides fleet management, performance monitoring and operational optimisation capabilities.
Originally introduced as Singapore's first fully electric cargo vessel under the Goal Zero Consortium, Hydromover 1.0 has undergone multiple enhancements since its launch. Most recently, upgrades to its battery system have increased the vessel's energy capacity and operational flexibility, enabling it to better support commercial operating requirements while maintaining zero operational emissions.
The deployment builds on earlier operational trials and commercial experience, which have provided valuable insights into vessel performance, energy consumption and operational optimisation. These learnings have helped refine Hydromover 1.0 and contributed to the development of Hydromover 2.0, marinEV's next-generation electric cargo vessel.
